1) As simple as that. Whenever we create a pvp character, and attempt to put Charm animal skill on our skill bar, a little box could appear, that would notify us, which sort of evolution : Dire, Aggressive, Elder, Playful, Hearty would we want our pet to have. Of course, it might be handy for more new players ,if there would be a little sentence appearing when we highlight it. Then we just click Accept, or Cancel. Accept, you know what happends, Cancel - Charm Animal is removed from your skill bar. If you think you have made a mistake, then why not, Just remove the charm animal skill from skill bar and put it on again.

Very handy indeed, I'd really like a Dire/Aggressive Wolf on my badass beastmaster

2)Speaking of wolf, optional idea could be to, in the same box as we put the charm animal skill, there could be a selection of pets you have charmed in-game, and you would then not only be able to change the sort of evolution of the pet, but also his look. Pets could be unlocked at the priest of balthazar, for lets say 2000 or 3000 points of balthazar faction.
